Reflections
Greetings and blessings to all of you. When you look around at the Christian community today, you frequently see chaos. Marriages are falling apart; single men and women are struggling to be content. Debt rules. Addictions prevail. Some are faithfully still going to church. But since the Covid outbreak in 2019 the gathering of person to person has lessen. It is no wonder the average Christian feels like they are living a ho hum defeated Christian life. They conclude by saying, ‘this Christianity is not working.’ Since its inception, the Church has been known for its care for the po...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. This is the week that we focus on how grateful we should be as the Body of Christ. We have so much to be thankful for. Just think ..the Christian church exists for the purpose of making disciples and expanding the kingdom! Hallelujah! And you and I are part of that. We have the opportunity to spread the Gospel… to spread the Truth in a world full of deception. Something is seriously wrong if the church is losing disciples and are not being the hands and legs of Christ to build His kingdom. Jesus told us, “Go into all the world and preach the ...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. These past months has been a huge learning experience for the Born-Again Believers especially in light of the political turmoil. Now it is time to appreciate the new-you. We have learned to count the cost when we found ourselves at odds with the culture and their values. We learned that we must focus on the Words of Christ- taking them seriously so we can be that salt that acts as a preservative until Christ returns. We also learned we must love what God loves because we are at odds with the ways of the fallen world. We experienced in a glaring, almost sc...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. At this time one of the most hostile elections of our era is over…and it is ironic that Veterans Day follows. As for the Body of Christ we are still to be the best hope for the world because of who we belong to….that is.. The Lord Jesus Christ… assuming you are saved. Just before Jesus was arrested in John 17:14-19 Jesus prayed to the Father concerning His disciples, “I have given them Your Word and the world has hated them because they are not of this world, even as I am not of this world. I do not ask you to take them out of t...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. Why government cannot save us is a conversation that we hear since the election is coming to a close on Nov. 5th this year. Christian’s ought to express their political beliefs by voting. It is okay to support legitimate measures designed to correct issues such as same sex marriages, trans gendering little kids, killing babies in the womb, overstepping parental authority, raising taxes to provide for people from open borders and increasing welfare benefits, etc. Not involving ourselves with these political issues would be contrary to what God wants ...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. Would not our lives be much less difficult and embarrassing if all that God acquired of us was to attend church on Sundays and intellectually assent to some theological ideas while essentially living as the rest of the world lives? Why don’t we want to acknowledge the evil that is taking place even though most of us are aware of it? That is how evil continues to prevail. By the silence of the church. Isaiah 5:20 said it best, “woe to those who call evil good and good evil who put darkness for light and light for darkness who put bitter for swe...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. We take it for granted that we have religious freedom in the US. Did you know that in many countries such as North Korea, Somalia (that Christian community is tiny and under constant threat), Afghanistan, Libya (where churches are attacked and gatherings are targeted) and Nigeria where the southern part experience more religious freedom and the north is under Sharia Law- are against Christ? It is imperative that as Christians we should continue to push for religious freedom. If we don’t it will be taken from us. That is why it is so very important t...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In light of the upcoming election let us read I King 18:20-21. “So, Ahab summoned all the Israelites and gathered the prophets at Mount Carmel. Then Elijah approached all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If Yahweh is God follow Him. But if Baal follow him. But the people did not answer him a word.” Our society needs a spiritual transformation. Then as now.. many of our morals, virtues, and Christian principles that are consider righteous are continually under attack. Why did the people stay silent to...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In a few weeks, we will discover who will become America’s next president. Many Americans will be belated while many others will be dejected. A lot of people believe that if one particular person is elected instead of the other, it will signal the end of our country as we know it. Before jumping on that bandwagon, however, everyone should recall these Scriptures about God’s sovereignty and providence. “Before You created the hills or brought the world into being, you were eternally God, and will be God forever.” (Ps. 90:2) and &ldq...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In I Timothy 4:1-3 the Apostle Paul predicted a falling away from the Christian faith within the Church. The defection from the faith was already occurring in his time and He believed it is like leaven. It will continue to spread until the end of this present age. In 2 Thess. 2:3 “let no one deceive you by any means for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction.” Paul specifically referred to the “unrighteous deception” in which people depart from God’s ...
