Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Psalm 62:11, “Once God has spoken: Twice I have heard this: THAT POWER BELONGS TO GOD”. In Romans 11:20 it is stated, “for the invisible things of him (God) from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead.” God has power and whatever God has... is without limit; whatever God touches is absolute; therefore, God is OMNIPOTENT; God is Almighty! The definition of omnipotent is… able to do all and to have all power. Martha learned about the power of Christ in the story of Lazarus. Her brother died and Martha said, “ I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus then said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” The story continues when the crowd said of Lazarus death… “Could not this man who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man also from dying?” God prayed to the Father and …what happened? Lazarus rose to his feet. What does that tell you? God has the Power over Life and Death and Time. Another example of God’s power was shown in the lives of Mary and her relative Elizabeth. Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit and nine months later ..Jesus Christ was born. Ellizabeth was past her child bearing years but by God’s power she gave birth to John the Baptist who introduced Jesus to the 1st Century Jewish nation. It was told to Mary during that time “in Luke 1:37 “for with God nothing shall be impossible.” In Matthew 19:26 …with God all things are possible.” God contains, perpetuates and sustains all things. He is “upholding all things by the word of his power” (Heb. 1:3) It is God that holds all things together. Have you ever wondered why you do not cave in from fourteen pounds of air pressure on every square inch of your body? Have you ever wondered why you do not blow up from internal pressure? Why? Because the great God Almighty has spoken His power into His universe and everything runs according to that power. God is over “the laws of nature.” It is the way things are. A mother has a child -a boy or girl -even though man is trying to change that. But God! It is the way God’s power runs His creation. He is All Powerful!!!
