COMMITMENT IS WHAT IS NEEDED IN THE CHURCH TODAY

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Google defines apathetic as having or showing little or no emotion; not interested; indifferent or unresponsive. Its first cousin is being self-satisfied or exhibiting a lack of concern, a lack of commitment. In any local church there are people that {it is hard to tell} if they are real or not. Just like the people in the church of Laodicea (Rev. 3:14-22) the Lord said, “because you are lukewarm and neither hot or cold, I will spit you out of my mouth…. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline… so be zealous and repent.” The ... (Read More)

THE NARROW WAY & SALVATION

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Luke 13:24-25 it reads “Someone asked Him, Lord are only a few people going to be saved? He said to them, make every effort to enter through the narrow door because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, Sir open the door for us. But He will answer I do not know you or where you come from.” Some of us have wondered am I really saved? Is so and so saved? You are not alone in asking this question from time to time espec... FEAR GOD

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Eccle. 12:13-14 it reads “now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter; Fear God and keep his commandments… for this is the whole duty of man; for God will bring every deed into judgement including every hidden thing whether it is good or evil.” Most believers do not understand the concept of “fearing God”. They have bought into the lie that ‘fear’ means weak, being or feeling less than somebody else, a scaredy-cat. In our culture to chase tornadoes, engage in extreme sports, to envy Evel Kniev... YOU WERE SAVED FOR A REASON

Greetings and blessings to all of you. This is a New Year. God wants us to be- and know -without a doubt who you and I belong to… which is our identity. The Word of God is our Life ..it is our Reality. Therefore, what we say and do comes from having the mind of Christ. This is and going forward… each of us have an obligation and a responsibility to study, read, meditate and obey the Scriptures. Why? Because the Word says in (I Tim. 3:16) “all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” B... (Read More)

FOLLOW CHRIST .....ALWAYS!!!

Greetings and blessings to all of you and a Happy New Year. It has been said that if you don’t fill your mind with the Word of God, the enemy will fill it with fear, anxiety, stress, worry, and temptation. This New Year let us start fresh by fearing God Almighty plus reading and practicing His Word. Begin reading from Genesis to the book of Revelation. When we do that, we will encounter a living Lord who is both great and good, sovereign and kind; who never will leave you nor forsake you. By God’s grace He allowed each of us to be here another day. Our Master has assignments for al... (Read More)

WHO, AND WHY OF JESUS BIRTH

Greetings and blessings to all of you and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. This is a special time of the year. This is a time when we realize who came into this world long ago to give us what we needed. We needed a Savior… A Redeemer....A Deliverer….A Comforter…A Healer. God’s gift to us is His Son. “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Why? It was very important to God for His children to understand who He is and what is his attributes.. He wants us to know that He is not merely a God of holiness, wrath and justice, but that He is also loving, k... (Read More)

TRUE PEACE IS FROM CHRIST

Greetings and blessings to all of you. There is a beautiful song that we sing every year during the Advent season…O come O come Emmanuel. God told us in the Bible “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14) This prophecy has been fulfilled. We read all about it in Luke Chapter I. The baby’s name would be Jesus. In Greek it means the Lord saves. He would be the Son of the Highest or the Son of God; the second person of the Trinity. As the Messiah and a descendant of Kin... LOOK FOR CHRIST.....HE IS COMING BACK

Greetings and blessings to all of you. This is the Advent season. Long ago the people were expecting Christ. The Word says in Isaiah 9:6-7 “For a child will be born to us a son will be given to us and the government will rest on His shoulders and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” He came. He lived. He died. He rose again sitting now at the right hand of the Father. We are waiting for Him to return. In Acts 1:10-11 the Word says, “Two men in white robes stood by them and spoke. ‘Men of Galilee’ why do you sta... (Read More)

USE THE POWER THAT IS WITHIN YOU

Greetings and blessings to all of you. God has promised never to leave or forsake us, so no matter what the circumstance we find ourselves in; we can count on His help. Jesus promised that after His resurrection and ascension back to heaven, He would send the Holy Spirit to come live within everyone who trusts in the Savior's sacrifice. (John15:26) Next to salvation the most important gift of God to every one of his children is the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us the power we need to deal with the world we live in and its unending conflict. We have three enemies the w... (Read More)

QUENCHING AND GRIEVING THE HOLY SPIRIT

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In I Thess. 5:19 the Word says, “Do not quench the Spirit.” You may ask how do we do that? Quench means to ‘put out’ or to ‘put a damper on’. It coincides with the Holy Spirit being like a fire as said in Acts 2:3 “and divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.” When we quench the Spirit, we put the fire out or we lessen the flames; which is the love and power of the Spirit as He seeks to carry out His divine purpose through us. For example, at our campsite we make a fire&hel... (Read More)
