Greetings and blessings to all of you. A theologian once described how people say they trust God but live as if they do not. He went on to say, “They claim to know God ... but if you look at their lives and the way they live… it will quickly tell us what they value and whether they have ordered their lives around Kingdom priorities. By watching people and examining yourself you will know if people and you are living a “saving faith” with a complete trust in God. In Titus 1:15 it is stated, “Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient worthless for doing anything good.” We must adopt a heart of true saving faith-not just a mental assent. Making sense of a world without God according to the Book of Eccl. “Is like chasing the wind.” Some young people of today are sensing a sense of futility; lost in the world of internet, Instagram, Tik-Tok, Fake News, Video games AI, ChapGPT, etc., while the older generation are finding their security in financial institutions (Bit coins, Stocks, Gold, etc.), political parties, healthcare systems, and the government. We must live as if God is are only provision even when those worldly areas fall short. Like Job in the Word of God; he discovered who God really is. The Lord allowed a direct attack from Satan; awful things to happen to his livelihood, his family and his health. He then tried to consult his friends but he concluded they were “miserable comforters.” We do not want to be a Bildad, Eliphaz, and Zophar. We want to be Godly well- read Biblicist when we are helping people- going thru a devastating trial…leading them back to Christ. Job after meditating on all that had occurred; he probably raised his hand up-bowing low to God in a posture of surrender saying “though he slay me, yet will I trust in him; but I will maintain mine own ways before Him.” We live in a time that wants us to believe three huge lies. One, that there is no creator God; that there is no absolute morality, and that there is no ultimate truth. In times of crises stand firm. Keep focusing on Him. Saving Faith is an active dependence on Him.
