Greetings and blessings to all of you. Have you thought about the attributes of God lately? In light of what is going on in the world… besides in your backyard…. it is time we consider the OMNISCIENT of God. What does that mean in the Body of Christ? It means we are serving a God that is all -knowing. He knows the future - our future- and the future of the world. It means that we can rely on Him…. we can trust Him 100%. He is surprised by nothing. Because God transcends time- because He is above time, He can see the past, present, and future as a single act. WOW! Scripture reveals that God knows all things simultaneously and because He knows all things there can be no increase or decrease in His knowledge. Psalm 147:5 affirms that God’s understanding is beyond measure. “How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!” Christ even knows the freewill decisions human beings will make. Read John 13:38 regarding Peter disowning God as the cock crows three times. In John 13:18-19 God knew about the free will of Judas and his plot to betray Christ. Jesus knew where the fish were in Luke 5:4-6. Again, God Knows ALL. Scriptures says in First Peter 1:8-9 “you love Him even though you have never seen Him, though you do not see him now, you trust Him and you rejoice with a glorious in expressible joy. The reward for trusting Him will be salvation of your souls.” In Matt. 6:8…..for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him.” God’s knowledge is perfect. He does not have to reason or find out things or learn gradually- His knowledge of past, present and future is instantaneous. Some may ask since God knows all things He knows who will be lost. So how can that person help being lost? Good question, right? Since God is Love He will not force His will on that person. God gave Pharoah ten plagues or chances to get it right…and Pharoah never did. God knows the heart of man. Since God knows the beginning and the end, we should find comfort that He has power to apply His knowledge that the best possible purpose is realized by the best possible means. God always does the right thing in the right way and at the right time. Mark 7:37 says, “They were completely amazed and said again and again. Everything he does is wonderful.”
