Reflections

The CARNAL MAN and the MATURE BELIEVER

Greetings and blessings to all of you. God loves us unconditionally. I believe He even loved Judas who He knew was going to betray him. God is Love. Love is not just a feeling. Love is an action. Therein lies the difficulty. We are not able to Love as Christ unless we deny ourselves or die to our flesh. A true Christian know about denying himself. Denying yourself is simply denying {the rights of comfort and attention} that you would normally reserve for yourself. The mature believer understands this and accepts this. Unlike the unbeliever who is deceived; not denying themselves nothing. Doing... (Read More)

WHERE ARE YOU ADAM?

Greetings and blessings to all of you. God has always been working with 3 types of people. In Isaiah 45:22 He said, “Turn to me and be saved all the ends of the earth for I am God and there is no other.” He is working with the unbeliever (the natural man); He is working with the one who believes but still want to hold on to the world (the carnal man); Jesus in one hand and the world in the other; and finally, He is working with the (mature believer) one who desires to get fed with the Word, Repent; live the Word out in his day to day- without compromising. God throughout the Script... (Read More)

WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you know there are three individuals that God has to work with before He returns to claim His Kingdom. They are… the person without Christ (the natural man), the immature believer (carnal man), and the mature believer. The Bible teaches that the differences among these types are a result of their relationship not only with the Godhead but the Holy Spirit. The natural man will not accept God’s revelation in the Bible as true, because he lacks the capacity to verify its truthfulness. He depends on his senses and reason to determine what he ... WE HAVE A " NEW LIFE" IN CHRIST...

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Resurrection Sunday is a day that gave us “Zoe”. That means Life in the Spirit which lives in us on a daily. The day is gone but “our new Life” lives in us. Why? Because if we are truly regenerated(saved) and are transforming into the image of God we can say without a doubt “therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation old thing have passed behold all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17) We as followers of Christ do not want Jesus to say to us what He said to the two men on that road to Emmaus when they did ... THE TOMB IS EMPTY... HE HAS RISEN

Greetings and blessings to all of you. For most of us we have to possibly experience bad news before we can appreciate the good news. Today is Resurrection Sunday; a day to remember that Jesus came to fulfill the prophecy in Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…..”Some at this point may say to themselves…this... JESUS IS KING!

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Today is Psalm Sunday; a day to reflect on why Jesus was riding on a donkey into Jerusalem. If Jesus was King of Jews …it certainly did not look like it. Kings do not ride on a foal that is not decorated to the fullest. Jesus was not even dressed as a King. And even some of peasants were worshiping and praising Him saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in Heaven and Glory in the Highest!” as the foal continued on the journey. But indeed, He was and is King Jesus. Jesus had a mission. To come and save the ... (Read More)

WE STILL HAVE SPIRITUAL NEED

Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Bible is Prophetic. The Bible from the beginning to the end tells us about events that we should be aware of. Being prophetic it gives us faith in the Word of God and God Himself. For example, next Sunday is Psalm Sunday. It is a celebration of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In Zechariah 9:9 he prophesized saying, “Rejoice greatly O daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Jesus fulfilled this OT ... (Read More)

LOVE.... BY THE POWER OF THE TRINITY

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In 2 Cor. 5:14-15 the Word states, “For the love of Christ constrains us because we have judged this, that One died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all that those who live may no longer live to themselves but to Him who died for them and has been raised.” Paul was a person who lived for the Lord. We also must be persons carried away by the love of Christ. This verse tells us that the love that Christ gives us compels us to love Him and others beyond measure. We need to be at a point where we say, “I have no other way to go. ... (Read More)

THINK SPIRITUALLY... all of the time

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Phil. 2:14-18 the Word states, “Do all things without grumbling or disputing that you may be blameless and innocent children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation among whom you shine as lights in the world... holding fast to the word of life ……”. Paul is reminding us that our attitude is just as important as our actions. Attitude begins in the mind. In the story of Cain and Abel God asked Cain before he killed his brother Abel, “Why are you angry?” From God’s perspective Cai... (Read More)

LOVE ONE ANOTHER per THE ALMIGHTY

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Christ loves His church. It was His idea. His church consists of “a people called out of darkness and into the light.” Today the Body of Christ and local churches appear to be divided. Why? We are sinners….saved and being sanctified by the grace and mercy of God. This bears repeating in John 13:34-35 it says, “a new commandment I give you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love on another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” If we desire to have the ... (Read More)
