Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you know that we should study the Word; know the Word, live by the Word and stand on the Word? At a time when we desperately need to engage our culture with the message that gives us hope and transforms lives… many have pushed the Word aside and fail to speak out in the face of evil. A political scientist Ms. Noelle-Neumann said, referring to the slaughter of over six million Jews in World War II, “if you do not speak you are not being neutral but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.” Either we help evil or we fight evil. Either we speak or cower in silence. To know what to say and how to respond to evil we cannot be ignorant of what God has said. Are we willing to pay the price of speaking and acting? Are we fearing Man or God? We want to be obedient unto God! We want to have a deep intimate relationship with our Father. To develop that intimacy, we must read the Bible. Many do not believe the Word of God have any practical application in their day-to-day business.? We seem to need to be given all sorts of trivial little devices for our flesh…instead of relying on what the Word says. Did you know the Word is Life to us? Here are just some verses to “chew on”. Hebrews 4:12 “for the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edge sword piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is discerning of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Jer. 15:16 “Your words were found and I ate them and your Word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” In John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life.” In John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” In John 1:14 “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” If you would read Gal.5:16 “Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh,” it tells us why there is rampant sinning even among God’s people. In 2 Tim. 3:16 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” First Cor. 15:34 says “Awake to righteousness and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” Please pray for a hunger and thirst for the Word of God.
