Reflections
Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Jeremiah 17:5 God wants us to know “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength and whose heart departs from the Lord. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when good comes but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness in a slat land and not inhabited.” Trusting in yourself (man) is displeasing to God. You cannot trust in yourself because in Jeremiah 17:9-10, God says, “the heart is more deceitful than all things desperately wicked who can understand it? I the Lord search th...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Hebrews 4:12-13 it says,
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edge sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
I was wondering since God’s Word is true and He knows and sees everything are we still playing hide and seek like Adam and Eve in the Garden? &nbs...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Amos 8:11-12 it says, “the days are coming declares the Sovereign Lord when I will send a famine through the land; not a famine of food or a thirst for water; but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. Men will stagger from sea to sea and wonder from north to east searching for the word of the Lord but they will not find it.” Saints WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THAT FAMINE! Do you realize that many professing Christians question certain “truths” in the Bible such as homosexuality, fornication, self-right...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. The Bible is very important to me as a believer and follower of Christ. I believe that we will all profit from the Scriptures with an increasing confidence in Christ if we read and meditate then apply the Word of God in our lives daily. Spiritual Maturity comes as we “walk and talk” with God. There is “little faith” (Matt 14:3) and “great faith” (Matt. 8:10); there is the “full assurance of faith” (Heb.10:22); and there is a “trusting in the Lord with all your heart” faith (Prov. 3...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. Reading the Bible has to be on our “to do list” as a top priority. Our Bible is “Biblical Instructions Before Leaving Earth”. Our Bible is our Authority. Satan does not care for us because we continue as a lifestyle contributing all the Honor all the glory and all the power to God our Father. It is absolutely necessary to be under the authority of the Word of God. Rebellion was the cause of Satan’s fall. The former archangel overreached God’s authority, competed with God, thus becoming an enemy of God. Saints did you know ...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. I hope all of you read your Bible this past week. Or did you allow “the things of this world” to crowd out your time with your Savior? Well, this is a new day. You have another opportunity to crack open the Word of God. Isn’t God good? Each day is a new day for us to learn more about the God we serve. That is a big deal. Why? Because critics around the world are constantly denying the inspiration and reliability of Scripture. Currently critics want to eliminate teachings from the Word of God such as… Christ’s call to repe...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. Let’s continue to learn the importance of the Holy Scriptures. David said in Psalm 143:8, “Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning for in you I put my trust.” Sometimes we try to act as if we are God. We begin to believe we can control our world and what goes on in it. What does God have to allow to happen in our lives BEFORE we begin to totally TRUST IN THE LORD? Reading a Christian article it pointed out that professing Christians are falling for the same old trap that Satan proposed to Eve. Doubt played a key role i...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. I love you enough to share the truth with all of you. The Bible is to be read, and studied, focusing on it teachings and finally applying them to our lives. We must know of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament….the whole Bible. The OT helps us to understand the character and nature of Almighty God so that we can know how to approach Him with reverence and godly fear. (I assert that America and some of us have lost that especially when the Bible and Prayer became contentious to the lawmakers.) When Jesus was questioned by the religious leader...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to you all. I will continue to talk about the importance of the Word of God. Second Tim. 4:2 says “preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instructions.” The pastors have to know the Word of God in order to follow this mandate. But what about us? Is there a mandate for us as followers and Disciples of Christ? In 1 Peter 3:15 it says “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” So, it appears ...
