Greetings and blessings to all of you. We are once again living in perilous times. Lots of confusion, unrest, depression, and high anxiety. But God. He tells his children to “Fear not for I have overcome the world.” (John 15:33) Saints, live in this truth and you will be free to CHOOSE LIFE. In Prov. 9 it speaks about Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly (another word for Foolishness). God has loved us enough to give us the Gift of Choice. But with that choice comes consequences. When Satan is allowed to roam through the earth and going back and forth like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, we have to be aware of his schemes. His best tool is Deception and our response to the following deceptions could be as a mocker, a simpleton, or a fool. The simple are people who live without thinking and are just too lazy to change...they may be saved or unsaved. The mockers are rebels against God who make their prideful position known to everyone...they mock God and everyone who follows the teachings of Christ. Fools can be Christians or unbelievers. They have more smarts but have made a conscious decision to live by their OWN wits independent of God and independent of advice.
Some Deceptions Are:
. No authority is valid. Don’t tell me what to do.
. No rules are valid…I make my own rules. It is my life.
. Image and appearance are more important than substance. Character use to be important as well as Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, and Love for our Nation
. Morality is a matter of Choice. I can live anyway I want... it is my choice.
. The most important virtue in this day and age is TOLERANCE. We now validate everyone’s beliefs and lifestyle when Jesus has said NO!
. The line between Truth and Entertainment are blurred. Some believe the Media is the Bible. Videos games are played out as if they are reality.
. What you believe is right therefore do anything to achieve your goal even if it harms someone else. Now the question. How will you respond to these Deceptions? Will it be as a mocker, simpleton, or a foolish person? "Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows”
