Reflections

WHAT WILL YOU RISK IN SERVING CHRIST?

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you know it is risky business to obey Christ? It was risky for Christ. He said in the Garden of Gethsemane “My Father if it be possible let this cup pass from Me nevertheless not as I will but as you will.” That word “nevertheless” in Greek means STOP. Jesus in his humanity did not want to die especially knowing all of the torture and suffering He will endure. But the love of His father constrained Him to see it through. He knew that if He escaped, mankind would be lost. His great love for us (for you and I) would not let Him b... (Read More)

A GOOD or BAD REPORT FROM GOD???? YOUR CHOICE

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Have you wondered what does God think of our church? Are we worshipping Him like he expects? Are we giving as we ought? God does have expectations of His children and His church. That is why he gave letters to seven churches in the book of Revelations. Let’s say it was a “progress report” or a “report card”. God has questions and concerns… He wants to know what is our Worldview? Do we see the culture with the lens of Christ and does it show in our actions and beliefs? Do we live as if Christ is our reality or is He jus... (Read More)

GO... AND TELL SOMEONE the GOOD NEWS

Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Word of God in the Living Bible 2nd Thess. 1:7-10 says, “when the Lord Jesus appears suddenly from heaven in flaming fire with his mighty angels bring judgement on those who do not wish to know God and who refuse to accept his plan to save them through our Lord Jesus Christ. They will be punished in everlasting hell forever separated from the Lord never to see the glory of his power when he comes to receive praise and admiration because of all he has done for his people his saints.” It will be your passing and/ or the RAPTURE then the SECO... ONE MOMENT HERE - ONE MOMENT GONE!!!

Greetings and blessings to all of you. What is the next event on God’s prophetic calendar? It’s The Rapture. I Thess. 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command with the voice of an archangel and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive who are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, so we will always be with the Lord. “Caught up” here literally means “snatch up or take away.” God has to end this age known as t... SAINTS OBEY YOUR LEADERS!!!

Greetings and blessings to all of you. What is expected of the congregation and or church members? In the LB it says, “remember your leaders who have taught you the Word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and try to trust the Lord as they do.” Today’s church is in a severe state of confusion. That is no surprise. Paraphrase in 2 Tim. 3:1-5 “in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, ungrateful, conceited, irreconcilable, etc.” Today’s church is filled with people... (Read More)

STOP THE MADNESS...VOTE GOD'S VALUES!!!

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Election time is coming again. Have you heard people say, “Christians should not be involved in politics.” How could that be true if we read the accounts of Joseph, Daniel, Nehemiah, Esther, Deborah and we cannot leave out my friend Nebuchadnezzar (King Nebby)? In Kings I and II, Samuel I and II, Chronicles I and II you will find that God is active in politics; setting up this king, judging that king, and getting rid of another king. So, there is not a line drawn with God on one side and politics on the other. There is no escaping God’s ... (Read More)

YESHUA HAS FULFILLED YOM KIPPUR!

Greetings and blessings to all of you. This past Tuesday Yom Kippur was celebrated in the Jewish communities. “It is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come” (Lev. 23:31) For them it is one of the holiest of days along with Rosh Hashanah. During those holidays but especially on Yom Kippur the Jews come together to fast, reflect, and repent; to take stock of their actions in the past year, to seek forgiveness and commit to doing better in the year to come. Only on this special day it has been noted in the OT the high priest would enter the inner sanctum of the Holy Tem... (Read More)

LIVE LIKE YOU ARE HEAVEN BOUND

Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you know that God looks at us as Sojourners, Exiles, Pilgrims, or Strangers? Do you see yourselves as this? I assert that this is difficult only because we are so programmed to live in the here and now. For example when we became a Christian we think…..what will this do for my marriage? How will it help me raise my kids? How will being a believer help me to succeed in my career? Will it help me solve personal problems? Will it help me to be happy? It is nothing wrong to enjoy God’s blessings and His provisions for us….but if we do ... (Read More)

LET'S RE-THINK SUFFERING....

Greetings and blessings to all of you. I have a best friend on a blog. Her name is …. Joni Erickson -Tada. She is the poster child on “suffering.” She is a follower of Christ and a quadriplegic for a little over 50 years…and a cancer survivor. Married to ‘A Man of God’ who takes his vows seriously. Today she wrote “remember at your weakest most vulnerable moment you are never nearer to the unlimited inexhaustible power and love of the living Christ. Reach out your hand and if you cannot manage that…. just lift your little finger. Whatever your... (Read More)

GODLY SORROW LEADS TO REPENTANCE

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In the Church at Corinthian the people were exhibiting un- Christlike behaviors and Paul had to come to them direct and very clear as to how followers of Christ should behave. The people just like us today {when given a message by the Pastor or a leader of a church} may have “feelings” of anger or guilt or sadness. You may leave the church in a huff or quit going to church altogether with a negative attitude bringing that same attitude to another church as some do. This passage alludes to how your response could be. In 2 Cor.7:9-10, “Now... (Read More)
