Greetings and blessings to all of you. IT IS CHRISTMAS DAY. The day that most followers of Christ celebrate the coming of the Lord as a babe in the manger. Christmas is a busy time of the year…shopping, baking, cooking, preparing for family and friends and much more. The first time God came the people were busy also. The people were mostly farmers, textile workers, homemakers, farmers. and shepherds and let’s don’t forget the politicians and tax collectors. When Jesus (God) arrived, the angels announced it to the shepherds. They stopped what they were doing and ran to see th...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Matthew 1:21 “she will bear a Son and you shall call His name Jesus for He will save His people from their sins.” Jehovah means “will save.” Jesus came with an assignment. An old show Mission Impossible which was about government operatives choosing to go on extremely nearly impossible missions for or against the enemy. Jesus came to us (an impossible mission) to show us who God is (teachings) and was and to give us not only salvation but eternal life(by dying). I do hope we understand that so we can be like Simeon who stayed in...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. All of us like to give; some more than others. Some give their time, some give their money, some give loads of presents especially during the Holiday season. However, as maturing Christians we have learned what giving is. We have heard the passage about the three types of givers that the Bible describes in 2 Cor. 9:6-8. Are you the reluctant giver, or the “have to” giver or are you the cheerful giver? Our giving as a growing Christian should have a spiritual merit to it. Why? If nothing else “giving” makes you consider the people i...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. When Jesus came the first time, the people were not looking for Him. Why? They were all too busy. The religious leaders and their followers (under Roman’s dictatorship) were religiously going to the temple, giving alms and sacrifices while the common folk(shepherds) worked in the field. All of them heard He was coming; however, they had a preconceived idea how He would come…certainly not as a babe born in a manger. And like us when years have passed and the possibility of Him coming grows remote and other concerns in life gradually take over&...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. Are you looking forward to the coming of Christ? All thru out the Word of God the prophets declared that there would be a day when history would reach its climax in the judgement of God and in the return of the Messiah. The Bible indicates that when Christ returns the world will not be looking for him. The Bible says, “as it was in the days of (Noah), so shall it be also in the days of the coming of the Son of Man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood c...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you know it is risky business to obey Christ? It was risky for Christ. He said in the Garden of Gethsemane “My Father if it be possible let this cup pass from Me nevertheless not as I will but as you will.” That word “nevertheless” in Greek means STOP. Jesus in his humanity did not want to die especially knowing all of the torture and suffering He will endure. But the love of His father constrained Him to see it through. He knew that if He escaped, mankind would be lost. His great love for us (for you and I) would not let Him b...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. Have you wondered what does God think of our church? Are we worshipping Him like he expects? Are we giving as we ought? God does have expectations of His children and His church. That is why he gave letters to seven churches in the book of Revelations. Let’s say it was a “progress report” or a “report card”. God has questions and concerns… He wants to know what is our Worldview? Do we see the culture with the lens of Christ and does it show in our actions and beliefs? Do we live as if Christ is our reality or is He jus...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Word of God in the Living Bible 2nd Thess. 1:7-10 says, “when the Lord Jesus appears suddenly from heaven in flaming fire with his mighty angels bring judgement on those who do not wish to know God and who refuse to accept his plan to save them through our Lord Jesus Christ. They will be punished in everlasting hell forever separated from the Lord never to see the glory of his power when he comes to receive praise and admiration because of all he has done for his people his saints.” It will be your passing and/ or the RAPTURE then the SECO...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. What is the next event on God’s prophetic calendar? It’s The Rapture. I Thess. 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command with the voice of an archangel and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive who are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, so we will always be with the Lord. “Caught up” here literally means “snatch up or take away.” God has to end this age known as t...
(Read More)Greetings and blessings to all of you. What is expected of the congregation and or church members? In the LB it says, “remember your leaders who have taught you the Word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and try to trust the Lord as they do.” Today’s church is in a severe state of confusion. That is no surprise. Paraphrase in 2 Tim. 3:1-5 “in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, ungrateful, conceited, irreconcilable, etc.” Today’s church is filled with people...
