Greetings and blessings to all of you. Today is Mother’s Day. Hallelujah! Our Sovereign God gave us this day to focus on Mothers. When I think of Mothers, I think of two characteristics of Mothers that will honor and glorify the Lord who created all of us. A Mother conceives. This wicked culture is now wanting us to believe a man can conceive. Plus, they are currently in the laboratories trying to create an artificial womb. Again, the goal is to wipe out the idea that there is a God who made and controls the universe. Also, if and when the mom conceives {the culture} devalues babies by allowing the legalization of abortions. Motherhood is also not encouraged. Case in point… allowing practicing homosexuals to be able to adopt and raise a child in their home. They even have a show call Modern Family to celebrate that very idea. God idea was to create male and female. Gen. 1:27 says, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female, He created them,” Since God created sex.. the female is to have the ability to conceive and raise children by Godly principles. However, the invasion of sin entered the world... and complicated every part of life. But God; His plans will not be tossed out. He can take a mess and make a message. Today God speaks to current moms. God speaks to all the ladies who want to be a mother and are not able, God has spoken to all mothers who are estranged from their kids, God has spoken to all mothers who have had abortions, God has spoken to all mothers who kids passed away before them. God is currently speaking to all mothers who have decided to obtain a sex change. God our Lord has made a way for all of these ladies to find encouragement, comfort, grace, mercy and forgiveness as they seek to understand the Why of their circumstance through prayer and other saints as they draw close to His unconditional love. Another trait of a Mother is.. She is Godly. She listens and follows the mandates of Christ as all of us should do. She learns the heart of God through much prayer and waiting. Hannah in First Sam. 1:9-11 “ .. was in bitterness of soul and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish,” and made a vow to the Lord to give her firstborn to the Lord. That was the prophet Samuel who anointed King Saul and chose King David the ruler of Israel. Being Godly is her calling; her purpose. She and all of us need to establish that bond or personal relationship with Christ.
