Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Birthday of America is on Tuesday July 4th. We should be happy; however, that is difficult because our future as a free nation is in question. All you have to do is to listen to the daily news or the office chat room discussions. Our borders are open(even though we have an immigration policy in place); our cities are practicing lawlessness because our police force seem to have lost their authority by liberal mayors; our enemies grow bold while our military weakens allowing our once highly favored standards to drop to a very low level; our current government has borrowed more money than all the previous administrations; stats says that at least 58 million unborn babies have been killed by abortion on demand; our Supreme Court has ruled in favor of same sex marriages, and schools openly seek to brainwash our children with radical race and gender ideologies ,etc. This can be overwhelming, and discouraging seeing our once Christian nation taken over by secularism and moral relativism with rampant open sin. This kind of downhill slide by our nation is nothing new. As long as there are people that choose not to follow God and His principles …there will be sin. The human heart is the same as it always has been if not more so. In our current society everything appears to be “open/out of the closet”. The current motto is “Do what you want to do “especially if you are part of the governing group. Many societies before ours were just as wicked and hostile to God’s Word and His people. Read the OT and the Roman culture where you will find them preoccupied with indulging in every sinful impulse and appetite. A lot of Americans will agree that our nation is headed in the wrong direction. But God always has been faithful to His people. He has an answer to our nation which has seemingly forgot God. Read 2 Chron.7:14 with hope and joy. Nehemiah had great faith and determination in re-building Jerusalem’s walls. Let this man of God be our role model. Let us say what he said, “Let us rise up and build.” So, they strengthened their hands for the good work” God works in his faithful followers on the task of sharing His Word, being bold coming against the lies of the masses where God has placed you. God wants us to give money to organizations that are called to change our cultural for the glory of God. Join Christian voter/political groups. Pray. We cannot expect to stay comfortable when our nation is falling apart.
