Greetings and blessings to all of you.  We are in the advent season celebrating the arrival of baby Jesus to his mother Mary and his father Joseph.  The two very young people had to learn what we are learning …how to wait on the Lord. They had to wait to see the outcome of their obedience of the Virgin Birth which most likely brought shame and ridicule and the many questions from prying eyes and gossiping busybodies. The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not b... (Read More)

Greetings and blessings to all of you. All over the world you will see a lighting of the second of the five Advent candles.  Last week the candle represented HOPE. Today the candle reminds us of FAITH.  Hebrews 11:6 says, “but without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  The Bible says, “now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.”  Therefore, we as practicing Christians believe that Jesus came into our ... Greetings and blessings to all of you. We are now in the season of the Coming of the Lord. What does that mean to each one of us? For me, I think of Zechariah and Elizabeth. Luke describes them as “both were righteous before God walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” (Luke 1:6). While most of Israel slept through the birth of Jesus {because they were not looking for the Messiah to come} John the Baptist parents were two of the exceptions. Are you looking for the return of the Messiah?  You know He is coming back. Two angels said He was. In Acts ... (Read More)

Greetings and blessings to all of you. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving week in the Lord.  I love this time of the year because this is a time to reflect on ALL that God has given us.  He has given us so much beginning with our Salvation. Of course, you and I know that could not have happened without the death of His Son…and His Resurrection. He has given us the breath of True/Real life. He has given us things that we take for granted like eyes to see what is really going on. He has given us ears to be cognizant of hearing the Truth as opposed to the many lies, we are ... Greetings and blessings to all of you.  In the Book of  Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 it says, “there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot; and time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build; a time to weep and a time to laugh…” And time goes on. And guess who is in charge of time? God.  It comes down to this. When we say that God is Sovereign, it means that he is the Master, and we are the servants. He is the Potter; we are the clay. ... Greetings and blessings to all of you. God is. God Is Sovereign. God Is In Control all of the time. Period. During this point in our culture this is no time to wring our hands and mourn. When the darkness grows deeper, the light must shine that much brighter. This is the time to exalt the Person and the work of Jesus Christ.  There is no need for us to worry about our situation. We serve a God who is patient, sympathetic, compassionate, faithful and full of wisdom; seeing and knowing the beginning to the very end. In Psalm 135:5-6 The Book says, “I know the Lord is great, that our L... (Read More)

Greetings and blessings to all of you.  Our current climate is one of divisiveness and hate. That also includes within the Body of Christ. With the election being finalized pretty soon; have you noticed all the contention? Where is the Love? Christ has told us to love our enemies. How can that manifest itself when we are in a resentful unforgiving, I’m right… you are wrong attitude?  Agape love is not a mere suggestion, but a command.  In I John 4:7 God said, “Dear friends, let us love one another.” Love is the very DNA of every child of God. When we bec... (Read More)

Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Proverbs 29:2 it says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”  It has been said that some of us are ambivalent about our government. Therefore, you may have decided not to vote. But when you think about the activities sanctioned by the government like judicial decisions relating to unborn infants, pornography, sexual values, immigration issues, high taxes or misuse of money; you may change your mind. You might have chosen the road of apathy and noninvolvement. You may t... (Read More)

Greetings and blessings to all of you. There is a song written by Burt Bacharach and song by Dionne Warwick in the early late 60s early 70s. “What the world needs now is Love sweet Love it’s the only thing that there’s just too little of; What the world needs now is Love sweet Love no not just for some but for everyone. That Love the writer is talking about I believe is Jesus. In I John 7 it says “Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God, FOR GOD IS LOVE”. We liv... Greetings and blessings to all of you. There is a question that needs to be asked in the times we are living in and that is ARE WE A SELF-DECEIVED PEOPLE? Do we know our true Spiritual condition?  We may look good to others as we pose for family pictures (church/at home) but that is just the outward appearance. The heart condition is not caught by the camera.  God confronted the church of Laodicea. In I Sam.16:7 “For the Lord sees not as man sees. For man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart.” God said, “I know your works that you are neit... (Read More)
