Greetings and blessings to you all. It is the Thanksgiving season. We have so much to be thankful for; especially if we are Born-Again. All over the world people have the same hungers, longings, frustrations, and desires. Those problems can and have only been met by Him who said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6) The Bible teaches that we were physically alive but spiritually dead. The Bible also teaches that the root of our problem goes back to the Garden of Eden. It is called Sin. Sin is basically rebellion against God. A lot of people have grown completely disturbed by society. The reason they are so disillusioned is that they have failed to understand that the problem is a ...spiritual one. Understand this -that if you are outside Christ, you are a dead person. In Romans 1:20 the Bible describes them. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made even His eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse. Because although they knew God they did not glorify as God nor were they thankful but became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise they became fools…” This actually describes their current religion of today called “humanism”. The core value of humanism is self-determination; believing that people create their own purpose, values and fulfillment in this life rather than waiting for an afterlife; relying on scientific methods and autonomy instead of God. They possess an intellectual arrogance displaying a reverse sense of values; the worship is of Self and not God. They are deceived and delusional. The Bible also indicates that Satan has great authority in this world; he is behind the deadly D’s. In fact, the Bible says, “the whole world is under control of the evil one. Jesus called Him “the prince of this world”. The book of Ephesians teaches that he is the ruling spirit over the children of disobedience which includes all people who have not made their peace with God. In Isaiah 6:9 it describes them “Keep on hearing...but do not understand…. keep on seeing…. but do not perceive.” The true Christians in order to achieve spiritual victory, must work to disarm the power of darkness. The adversary is still out there and obviously he knows his time is short. So please begin to talk about the things that we should talk about in the world…to bring more sheep into the flock.
