Greetings and blessings to you all. Is Christianity a threat to the evil that has permeated our society? Has the Truth become irrelevant? Is God being replaced by the Government? These are difficult hard questions that we as the Body of Christ should meditate on/pray on/answer/then share with others. Recall that Christianity was born into a world of steep opposition and persecution. Paul was beheaded for standing for the Faith. Stephen was killed for the Faith. Polycarp a bishop was burned at the stake in 155 AD. William Tyndale who translated the New Testament from Greek into English was executed. Dietrich Bonhoefer a pastor confronted Hitler who wanted to annihilate the Jewish people was hanged. These individuals chose to be tortured and executed rather than renounce their faith in Christ which meant to follow the prevailing government or another god. It isn’t anything new for people to ridicule and demean the true faith in Christ along with other key truths recorded in the inspired Scriptures. In I Tim. 4:1 it states “that in the latter times some people will leave the true faith and follow false spirits and teachings from demons.” During these times mankind will be proud, fiercely arrogant, void of doctrinal truth, and dismissing the faith of the true believer. Is this happening now? YES! Even though with AI and other advances in technology Peter reflected in 2 Peter 3:5 that unbelievers would be willingly ignorant or stubbornly refusing to consider that God is the creator and ruler of all. If mankind can get rid of God, they would be the rulers. It just that simple. In Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18 and Luke 10:18 and Rev. 12:7-9 all of these passages described how Satan challenged God and had to be casted out of the heavens. In 2 Tim. 3:1-9 it describes individuals who manipulate ‘gullible women’ trapped by unconfessed sin and driven by their personal desires other than God. They are so focused on their own passions that they constantly chase new ideas or teachers without ever accepting or anchoring themselves in the true gospel or the teachings of Christ. Is it the men also? YES! Is our faith that Christ gave His life for on life support? Has it become outdated? The church is at a crossroad. What we know is truth and/or what the culture tells us is true. In Prov.14:12 it states, “there is a way that seems right to a man but its end …is the way of death.”
