Greetings and blessings to you all. I was wondering….in our culture of deception and blissful ignorance have you and I failed to educate or speak up to our friends and families and anyone where God has placed us? In I Peter 3:15 God says “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as Holy always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who ask you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” The word apologetics means a verbal defense, a speech in defense; a reasoned statement or argument. Are you capable of giving a logical reasoned defense of our hope in Christ? It would be difficult to do if you are not reading the Word and allowing the Word to come alive in you. And it would be difficult to do if you are not allowing the Holy Spirit within you to come alive as YOU die to self. And you will have a difficult time in reasoning with a person with a question such as… How do you know the Bible is true? If you are full of your right to be right at all cost. You might win the argument but you will lose the person. In the Garden the devil’s goal was to get Eve to doubt the Word of God. Today the devil’s method is the same. If the devil can have you doubting the Word of God (not reading/not meditating/ not applying it) Satan laughs…you no longer trust God nor His word.” “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1-2 In order to hold an intelligent spiritual conversation it is imperative that we help others to build a truly Christian worldview to CORRECTLY understand life and the universe. Every question that someone ask you there is only two answers: God’s answer and everyone else’s answer, Scripture holds the final and authoritative answer on all life’s concern. Jesus is still knocking on church doors today. He is calling His bride (the church) to a higher calling. Through our passionate, loving commitment of the Word we can turn the world upside down just like the disciples did in the first century…just like Martin Luther did in the 16th century…when he begun the Reformation Movement. And let’s not forget Jonathon Edwards in the 18th century when he preached ‘Sinners in the hands of an angry God.’ God is calling us back to a Passion for Him. ….speak up!
