Greetings and blessings to all of you. In the Bible it states, “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that -and shudder.” Upon further research… the demons have intellectual knowledge of God’s existence and power but lack ‘saving faith’ and “trust.” Their shuddering represents absolute terror -recognizing Jesus authority and inevitable judgement. God wants us to believe- trust and love Him with all of our hearts and with our soul and with our mind. God said, “this is the first and greatest commandment.” In the book of James, it implies that we are to understand not by simply knowing or believing facts about God; that is not sufficient for salvation; it must result in obedience and a transformed life. There are many ways to fulfill our maturity in Christ and one of them is to attend church and the church life. Do you have a desire to know Christ? Do you have a strong desire to be with the people of God or church folks? There are many people that say they are Christians; however, even though we are not expected to do all that pleases God (perfection) we are supposed to at least be on the road that will lead/help us to do and discover the things that will please God There are three facts that will not change. One the church is the Body of Christ. Two the church is also the Bride of Christ. Three the Holy Spirit resides in every true believer. Therefore, GO where the teachings and His people are! We make excuses or reasons. We say, “I look at You Tube.” “I listen to Podcast,” “I go to the mountains and sit and meditate- since God is everywhere” “Or we say God understands why I do not attend church. He does…and you should shudder. Justifying and complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth. Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation of Christ to you or His people. At this point God wants us to “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you…unless indeed you fail the test! “Professing Christians must learn that faith must be lived out with our whole being and manifested in how we behave/think. A.W. Tozer said, “we have broken with God. We have ceased to obey Him or love Him and in guilt, fear or denial we have fled as far as possible from his presence.” Is that true of you? If so repent, and turn back to what pleases God and not yourself.
