Greetings and blessings to all of you. We are living in dark days. And before Jesus returns I believe we want people to come to the saving faith of Christ. In 2nd Peter 3:9 the word of God states, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise…as some understand slowness. He is patient with you. …. not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Therefore, we must adhere to what God has told us in Matt. 13-26. In short, you are the light so shine; you are the salt so season the world. For the not so bold saints, live the gospel by your actions, express the gospel through writings, YouTube and such, maybe have many one-on-one conversations with family and friends, pray for boldness and make sure you share your testimony, etc. Sharing our faith, can be difficult because the Bible says, “every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.” Prov. 21:2. The Bible has something to say about “the mind”. Since the mind has been affected with sin-you cannot come to Jesus Christ intellectually alone. That step has to be taken by faith. Faith can seem very nebulous to some; however, all of us operate on some level of faith. You do not know the pilot but you get on the airplane regardless. You get in a cab unaware of the driver and his background yet there you sit in a stranger’s car. Faith then is acquired when you trust and believe in God then constantly obey what the Bible says…. then faith will grow and continue to grow. Another problem that arises when you are sharing your faith is meeting the high standards of Jesus Christ. Most people find it very difficult to have Jesus Christ first in everything. In Col. 3:17 “And whatever you do whether in word or deed do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus …” Christ is the only one that can help you and I meet His high standards. In Gal. 2:20 it says “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live -but Christ lives in me….” Suffering will always be an issue when sharing. But for us suffering is explained in Romans 5:3. Paraphrasing; it says -but we rejoice in our sufferings because we know that it produces perseverance, then character then hope. God calls men to believe in Christ or be lost. We are called to be part of the process even though the cross is foolishness to a people who would like to believe that man is not as bad as others and heaven awaits them. Love them by sharing the Gospel.
