Greetings and blessings to all of you. Christmas for some of us has come and gone. But for the True believers in Christ …Christmas is everyday... not so much in the hustle and bustle of activities and decorations- but the somber meditation of why did He come into this dark world…and our response on a daily. We ponder on the many years that he has given each and every one of us out of the abundance of his grace and mercy…as we pray for more years. We consider how life is short and all of our love ones are getting older. We continue to pray for their salvation and living the church life so they too can have eternal life like us. When we read the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon speaks about the futility of life in a broken world. But just as Jesus came into this world offering Hope so does this book in Chapter 9:7. Solomon says, “ go eat your food with gladness and drink your wine with a joyful heart for it is now that God favors what you do…. whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” This New Year hopefully coming on January 1, 2026 that God will so graciously give us again; we should live in the Spiritual Light of Christ…the Light that we understood this past Christmas. We know there are people who think that living for self has made them successful. They believe that their efforts alone are the source of their achievements. Those of us who are awaiting the return of the Lord, we know it is all of Christ. We not only have renewed character, but radical conduct. What does that look like? We walk by faith not by sight. We stand firm against the schemes of the devil- not inviting the devil to come in and set up a stronghold (an unprofitable habit) in his life. Because Christ came into this dark world and gave us Life (once we received Him as our Savior and our Spiritual light) we activate the Holy Spirit in us by fully trusting by Faith in God’s promises and in God’s plans. We show that by our lifestyle even when the world is falling apart…and when God’s plans does not make sense. This radical conduct will be unacceptable and misunderstood by the world. But God has called us “aliens”. In 1 Peter 2:11 “Dear friends I urge you to live as aliens and strangers in the world; to abstain from sinful desires which war against you soul.” So, in 2026 what will be your continuous response be to this Spiritual Light? HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
