Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Word says, “For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for he cannot deny Himself.” (2 Tim 2:11-13) We serve a God who is Faithful- we need a God like that. While God is a God of Grace- He is also a God of Justice, Holiness and Truth. The God we serve will always be true to his nature, because He is a Faithful God. In this world of weak sentimentalist of the liberal and modernist; we need God who is absolutely trustworthy. His words will not fail. Therefore, we can stand on His promises and trust Him. In Exodus 34:6 “The Lord God is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished….” When we face circumstances in which the faithfulness of God is questioned such as the unexplained murders of the young lady in North Carolina Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk a Christian Conservative Activist…it is not that God has let us down, but rather we cannot see or have privy to the big picture as God is sovereign. In those times we just need to trust in the Faithfulness of God. People fail us but God never will. As we interact with God on a daily our trust grows because we are in a relationship that matures and develops. We need to intentionally remember all the ways God has provided for us and shows up when we least expected Him. God wants us to trust Him completely. We can do this by being obedient- listening for that still small voice. He speaks primarily through His Word, but He can also speak through other people, through circumstances, and through inner confirmation of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:31 says, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him over for us all... How will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” God is Faithful in our sadness and tribulations. All of us can say when we are confused, distressed or just numb; like Apostle Paul said in 2 Cor.1:8-11 when he was ‘despaired even of life’ “He who has delivered us from such a deadly peril and he will deliver us again. He on whom we have set our hope and He will continue to deliver us.”
