Greetings and blessings to all of you. Question…How can a Holy Just God cover our Sins? God will not tolerate sin. He condemns it and demands payment for it. God could not remain a righteous God and compromise with sin. His Holiness and His Justice demanded the death penalty. Think about the sin of David, Abraham, Jacob and now think about yourselves. We may say sin is not that bad- but God said it is very bad, so bad that it demanded the death of His only Son…Jesus Christ. When we sin, we should all get the death penalty. But God is wiser than we are and, in His wisdom, He knew how the sin of the world had to be judged. God always does what is right and good toward all men. Although this truth which is hard for many to accept -His sentencing of evil, unrepentant sinners to hell is also right and good. There are many today who ascribe sin to psychological causes. Many say that they are not responsible for what they do, but God says we are responsible. When we look at the doctrines of Justification and Redemption, we see how God has dealt with sin. God is our Rock. God is Love. God is Perfect. God is Just. God’s own righteousness or justice is provided as a gift to sinners who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and is based upon His grace and mercy in response to our faith. In Romans 3:23-25 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness because in His restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.” (by us). In the book of Rev.16:5,7 it says, “You are righteous who is and who was the Holy One for you have decided these things.” “Lord God Almighty true and righteous are your judgements” So when we hear of the awful things that are happening in our world. We can know without a doubt that God in light of God’s other attributes of goodness, mercy, love and grace, we must believe in the reality of His infinite unchanging justice. God will have justice for sin either [from Christ atoning death with eternal life with Christ] or for those who will not accept His Son-eternal wrath in hell with Satan and his imps. It is just that simple. The saved get mercy and the unsaved get justice. Nobody gets injustice. This should cause us to cry out to the Lord on behalf of our loved ones who are not saved. Pray without ceasing for them.
