Greetings and blessings to all of you. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) Pilate asked the question, “What is Truth?” Many people today are asking, “What is Truth?” In our secular society relativism is everywhere. A well-known author wrote on Objective relativism…or O.R. He said, “It is the view that the beliefs of a person or group of persons are true for them., but not necessarily for others. One persons’ truth which really amounts to opinion can conflict with another’ truth and still be valid. O.R. challenges the very existence of truth. What about moral relativism or M.R.? This author continues saying, “M.R. says that there are no moral absolutes, no objective ethical right or wrong. Moral values are true for some but not for others. For example, the thought of ‘adultery is wrong’ can be true for some but false for others. Something is wrong only if you think or feel it is wrong.” However, The Bible prophesied that in the end of days our society; moral distinctions will be reversed which are key characteristic of perilous times. In Isaiah 5:20 it is written, “Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.” This highlights a societal reversal of fundamental values! Cultural relativism says if it since it is okay to have more than one wife in another culture; no one should judge another cultural value. In our western culture, some are proposing that polygamy is okay such as the fundamentalist Morman sect and some Muslim groups. Since God is Truth, who is behind all of these lies? Satan of course. He has caused a credibility gap to be established regarding Christ who is Truth. Jesus was not afraid to call Satan what he is. In John 8:44-45 Jesus says, …[“for he is a liar and the father of lies. There is no truth in him. Yet because I tell the truth you do not believe me.”] Our sinful nature often sides with the devil’s lie instead of God’s truth, because we are sinners. We rather believe the devil’s lie than God’s truth. Most people are living in deception. They see truth as a lie and the lie as the Truth. True Christians understands that God will give the people over to a mind morally corrupted and incapable of sound judgement ..if they desire to believe the lies of Satan. We have a choice. You can follow Lies or you can follow TRUTH!
