Greetings and blessings to all of you. Why were the Bereans known for their attitude of loving the Scriptures? In Acts 17:11 it says. “They examined the Scriptures every day to see whether these things were so”. They became Christian’s believers not due to blind faith; but when they heard Paul sermons, they studied the Scriptures for themselves and became convinced of the truth of the Gospel. The devil’s plan is to keep as many as he can distracted from the Word of God so that they will not be able to defend the faith nor stand when evil comes knocking at their door. God left us an instruction book, the Bible. We need to do ourselves a favor and read the instructions before we make a mistake. Since God made us, it would do us well to read the manual so we are able to function according to what God wants. We say ‘to err is human’. The Bible writers were correct in everything they wrote about; the past, the present, and even the future. If an all-knowing, all-powerful God exists, then He could guide even uneducated men to write about events that occurred hundreds or thousands of years before their time with complete accuracy. Do you believe 2 Tim.3:16 it says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching for rebuking for correcting for training in righteousness so that the man of God may be complete equipped for every good work.”? As followers of Christ, we should desire to want to hear what God has to say to us each day. In Psalm 30:5 “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” This is one of the many promises that God gives us in the Word. We are but sheep who are broken and easily hurt. We need encouragement and the strength from God each day. He says in Exodus 14:14, “The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace.” Or in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives you- do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.”.” Reading the word gives us spiritual growth, a desire for the Word, wisdom, guidance, comfort, the ability to be on one accord then we will speak the language of LOVE and HOPE. Why would you not want to eat the “manna” In John 6:31 it says, “Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.” In I Cor. 10:3 “and all ate the same spiritual food.”
