Greetings and blessings to all of you. Times are changing. Are they changing toward the best or the worst? If you listen to some of the prosperity preachers you will believe that you can live “your best life now”. As Christians we live a life that a follower of Christ lives. Talk with Paul about that. He gave his testimony after he was beaten and thrown in prisoner for preaching the gospel. Talk with Peter who said, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil (as a roaring lion) walketh about seeking whom he may devour”. (1 Peter 5:8) In 2 Tim.3:13 it says, “but evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived”. One of the biggest deceptions that has affected the Body of Christ is the viewpoint of the ‘separation of church and state.’ The truth is Thomas Jefferson wanted to protect religious liberties from the intrusive government. The culture today twisted it.. to mean that the government should rule the churches not God. Recall the COVID era. They mandated that the churches be closed and some of the churches are still closed which gave the message to the Body of Christ that meeting in a “building/church was not essential thereby causing a apathetic attitude in attendance in most churches. Are we becoming the church of Laodicean? That was the church that Jesus had nothing good to say about it. The fact that the church appeared wealthy, blessed and self-sufficient Christ said, “you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I wish you were either one or the other…and because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” They were a church filled with self-deceived hypocrites. We can no longer live a life of lies and fantasy. We are supposed to be the salt and the light…in a darkening world. Are we no longer able to judge right from wrong? I realize that the word says, “that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. (I Tim. 4:1) However, we must recall that the word also said, “for it is time for judgement to begin at the household of God…” God holds us accountable to be used by Him. He calls us to know His word and live out the Word. We are to have the right priorities always being Kingdom minded. We are called to not pay attention to myths such as truth is relative. We are to avoid gossip and speculations and false doctrines. We have to endure hardships like a good soldier of the Lord.
