Greetings and blessings to all of you. I wonder what you think of these two verses in light of our society. “They took him and brought him to the Aeropagus, and said, ‘May we learn about this new teaching you’re speaking of? For what you say sounds strange to us, and we want to know what these ideas mean.’ Now all the Athenians and the foreigners residing there spent their time on nothing else but telling or hearing something new.” Acts 17:16-21. In 2nd Tim. 3:7 “always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth”. We are living in the information age..and with more information decimated by the unbeliever you will get deception. Most of us realize that the contemporary world with its increasingly corrupt culture and its darker and darker outlook needs spiritual salt and light. Our refusal to compromise God’s Word will offend many but unless God’s people are the salt and light the work of retarding moral corruption and dispelling spiritual darkness will not get done. We do not enjoy upsetting people but we must care about how Jesus would feel about the evil ideologies that are spreading rapidly in our society. Saints, we can become ineffective for the Lord when we allow distractions to fill our lives. We cannot bring God’s word to our society if we ourselves let the busyness of life crowd out time to read, study, and meditate on Scripture thereby keeping us from evangelizing. Though outnumbered and experiencing the humiliation of being marginalized in our culture the church is still sent into the world to represent Christ. On hundreds of campuses and across the nation there are “doctrines of demons” that seem to be driving our society/culture motivating us as believers to address these issues. We have a culture of victimization where no one is responsible? And I know you have heard of “all religions are the same (syncretism) or when in a social gathering if you want to appear loving and kind a person may say “all religions are equally true”. That is a lie straight from hell. But you hear it all the time. There is more in this crazy mixed-up world. There are some people rather than read and try to understand the Word their opinions to them is more important than the Word of God. Such arrogance! On the secular news they refer to this as confronting the bigots, haters, homophobes. People still have the signs “Black Lives Matter” displayed even though the founders have embezzled the money and dismantled. Saints, We have the TRUTH..lets share it!
