July 03, 2022
Greetings and blessings to all of you. Once again, we will be celebrating the 4th of July. It is a federal holiday that we should celebrate with joy and gratitude. Why? Because our forefathers were determined to establish a free and democratic system of government and the Declaration of Independence (together with our Constitution and the Bill of Rights). They fought for this with their lives. George Washington said, “it is impossible to govern rightly without God and the Bible.” Thomas Jefferson asked this question,” Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God.” Frederick Douglass said, “I have said that the Declaration of Independence is the ring-bolt to the chain of your nation’s destiny so indeed I regard it. The principles contained in that instrument are saving principles. Stand by those principles, be true to them on all occasions in all places against all foes and at whatever cost. This holiday reminds the true Christian that we will come against the following: the court rulings to banning prayer from school, the prohibiting the Ten Commandants from being posted in government buildings, the outlawing of nativity scenes and other religious displays from public places, the transgender agenda- harming our kids with delusional thinking; giving them puberty blockers without the parent’s consent, placing them in harm’s way by sharing the same bathrooms and locker rooms. On this day we give thanks for leaders today and our founding fathers who had wisdom, faith and courage and stood on the Word… Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord”. We had two victories by our Supreme Court recently; the Roe vs Wade decision was ousted as well as the Bremerton coach winning his legal battle being accused of praying with his team on school grounds. Today our American school children and college students today are being subjected to “Progressive Christianity”. It purports that the government cannot in any way support or favor religious faith. This mistaken misreading of our Constitution has led to a relentless assault on America’s religious institutions and traditions by our educational system, the courts and throughout our popular culture. But we still can rejoice today. Why? God is still on His Throne ..He is still ruling this Nation.
