Greetings and blessings to all of you. While doing research on the Names of God.. I counted over 21 names. The story of Hagar and Sarah in Genesis Chapter 16 introduces us to The GOD That Sees (EL ROI) Hagar had fled into the wilderness because things had become difficult living with Sarah after she suggested that Abraham conceive a child for her. Hager homeless, pregnant, not knowing what would become of her. She laid down in the wilderness. Have you ever felt this abandoned, sad, just done? An angel appeared to her to give her comfort and to speak of God’s grace and mercy. `Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You Are the God Who Sees,” for she said, “Have I now looked on Him who sees me?” Saints, did you know that God sees you right now? He sees exactly what you are doing or not doing? If your behavior does not align with the behavior that pleases God. Don’t you know He sees that.? When you are in a precarious position financially or emotionally, He sees that also. That song His eyes is on the sparrow and I know He watches me is true. So, like Hagar call on Him. He might send an angel to comfort you. We also need someone in our life who knows about us heart and soul. We need EL DEAH. The God Who Knows Everything. God is the God of all knowledge. God inhabits eternity. God sees the beginning the middle and the end. He is the Alpha and The Omega. What did He tell Job? What does He say to us when we ask, “why do bad things happen to good people?” And as Habakkuk ask,” O Lord how long shall I cry and you will not hear…why do you make me see wickedness and cause me to see trouble?’ When God answered with questions, they could be applied to both of them. In Job 38 “ Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?” “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” “ Or who shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth and went out of the womb?” “Have the gates of death been opened to you or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?” “Have you perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if you know?” God never says, “Oops! I never thought of that.” Those guys have to shut up and fall to their knees. Just like we should. Bless the Lord and Praise El Roi and El Deah.
