Greetings and blessings to all of you and a Happy New Year. The church is entering into a New Year 2022 with an excitement and a curiosity to see what is God going to do with all the chaos and confusion that has displeased the very heart of God. Our nation is broken and we are here being the salt and the light. And at times that is difficult and heartbreaking. For example, a close friend of mine said, “The Bible is irrelevant and not reality”. I thought…The devil believes the Word and he trembles. But my dear friend said “the Word is not true…it’s not for the times we live in now.” How sad! I was hurt but I also understood. The Word said, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight…” and everybody has a worldview. A worldview is like the lens in your eye. You do not see the lens but you look through that lens to view the world. This view of the world determines what you and I do, where we go, how we act, how we live, and the choices we make. Some people you may know ..relatives, close friends, associates have worldviews that are Naturalism, New Age, or Postmodernism. Each have a perspective on origin of life, their identity, their purpose on this earth and their destiny when they pass. Your close friends and family members could have a world view that drives them to live a self-centered self-deceived lifestyle. They live their life built on sinking sand. “Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the wind blew and beat against that house and it fell and great was its fall.” (Matt. 8:26-27) They live their lives one foot in the culture and the other in “religious activities”. They are politically correct people who have left faith in God and Christ at the ‘church house’ separating it from the rest of their lives. Entering into 2022 we as saints must remember that our nation has been built on biblical principles. We must be part of the solution and not the problem. Our faithfulness in meeting together and praying together with the realization that the church age is coming to an end and the people we say we care about needs to be a “follower of Christ.” Let us pray fervently for that.
With the Love of Christ
