Greetings and blessings to all of you. Many people do not know the difference between right and wrong because their consciences are seared. To Timothy Paul wrote, “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and their consciences are dead.” There is an event that took place in (Acts 13:6-12) A sorcerer or evil person name Bar-jesus had a strong influence over the governor of a little town called Paphos.. The word said “He interfered and urged the governor to pay no attention to what Paul and Barnabas said. He was trying to keep the governor from believing.” Is that what is/has happened to some of you or to someone you know? Paul told the evil one, “You son of the devil full of every sort of deceit and fraud and enemy of all that is good! Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord? Saints we are in a spiritual warfare and the evil one is oppressing and depressing a lot of people to a point that you may have an overwhelming desire to escape. Escapism is a spiritual problem in the Body of Christ right now. Drug and alcohol abuse is higher than ever in the Christian community. Medical marijuana and prescribed drugs are now being used more and more; it is becoming an undiscipline flight from reality not to something good like studying the word of God or fellowshipping with the saints through reading the Word and praying together. No, as it eases the physical discomfort it dulls the mind and directs it to the things that is not of God. The word says, “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience.” God used Paul to blind the eyes of the evil one. The governor of Paphos then came to be a believer once he saw the power of the Almighty. The conscience can be freed from the oppressor; no longer hard or dead. We can choose to be totally and completely surrendered to Christ. Satan can have a stranglehold on you and I but we have a supernatural power once we submit and yield to the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
