Greetings and blessings to all of you. We as Christians are called to “contend for the faith that once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.” (Jude 1). We are also told “in the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.” (Jude 18). In the OT God appointed prophets as spiritual watchmen over the souls of His people, in Ezek. 33:7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.” The Lord as our Shephard and we being his sheep have a huge responsibility. Our people are perishing for lack of wisdom. They do not live lives as faithful followers of Christ. They could be part of the “falling way” group known as apostates. We are called to warn them of the judgement and destruction that would come their way unless they turn from their evil ways. As followers of Christ, we must step out of the crowd. We must turn our back on the world. We must travel down the “narrow road” and go wherever Jesus sends us. We must graduate from being just a follower to “ a disciple-a student of the Word”. We as the “the saved ones” have to proclaim to the “baby Christians” and the “unsaved” to REPENT. (Matt. 4:17) In order to follow Jesus, there had to be repentance-a godly sorrow over one’s own sin and turning away from it. They cannot walk as they once did. They have to turn their backs to the practice of sin. They can no longer live for themselves. They can no longer run after the sin they love. They must renounce their self-centered focus by which they had been previously operating. We are the watchmen that Christ has appointed to say to the people who needs to hear it, “Set your face toward Jesus and pursue personal holiness. Jesus is God and He is Holy. No one can follow Christ without abandoning their former lifestyle in sin.” We are in a culture caught in a turbulent sea in confusion and uncertainty and for the less mature Christian they are drowning in the deep choppy waters. They need a life guard to save them ..you dear spiritual giants are chosen for ”such a time as this”. In 2Tim. 1:7 it says, “for God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Saints, please proclaim THE TRUTH.
With the Love of Christ
