Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you see the Passion of Christ? The movie showed how Jesus gave His life for the undeserving. The film showed the torturous moments on the cross and how Jesus endured all the pain and suffering for me and you. Why? Because He was part of the plan to redeem us from the possibility of going to Hell even though we were yet in our sins. “For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting Life. (John 3:16). That should make you say Hallelujah! My question to all of us …Do we have that “Passion” that will make us forget about ourselves and focus on what God wants us to focus on? Jesus focus was to come to earth knowing He was to suffer/die for us. Each one of us know what God wants of us. The basics. That is OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD. Saints, how come we cannot have that Passion for that? Could it be that we are doing just like the Israelites in the first century? These guys made idols of everything that meant something to them. Micah in the book of Judges 17:13 made an idol of money, he made household gods, and he made himself a god; he did not want The God of the Covenant…Yahweh. Are we like Micah? Are we creating our own gods/idols? Because the Bible said in that century “everyone did as they saw fit”. You know why? Because these people did not want a Theocracy, they wanted a “fleshly king/leader”. And when you are loyal to your desires or the flesh…that is where your Passion is going to be. So I ask again, what is your Passion? It is not difficult to do the great exchange to gain a Passion for pleasing Our Father. We now should begin to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age (Titus 2:12). We are to be faithful until death giving up all are idols (and you know what or who they are). Jesus said, “anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” (Matt. 10:34-40) Do you feel His Passion? He is telling us to make a choice. Who will receive your loyalty your family members, your money or Christ? Passion just means DEVOTION. So again, what are you devoted to. I pray before Judgment Day it will be A PASSION FOR CHRIST.
