Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Proverbs 3:7, the Word of God says, “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil”. Have you ever felt wise in your own eyes? Currently, the media/worldly voices are speaking on reassignment therapy for kids as young as 6 getting HRT and the new Delta Virus with possibility of the need for everyone to be vaccinated. You and I (being exposed to higher learning) have a tendency to not listen to Christ. He told me and you to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your paths.” (Prov. 3:5-6 ) Maybe you and I should ask ourselves why compromise and go along with the culture/media? Maybe we want to present to others that we are nice and grace-centered? Are we afraid of being vilified and called a hater/ cruel by your family and friends or anyone? Are you and I following the mandates of the world/culture out of FEAR or a misguided compassion for others? See the rapid transformation of our country? Have we chosen Fear over the Spirit of God? When Jehoshaphat called a fast because several vicious enemies planned to attack Israel, he stood his ground and prayed, “we are powerless against this great horde that is coming again us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you” (2 Chron. 20:12). In our walk with our Lord, God has prepared us for this moment. So, at this time it is of utmost importance to spend quality time with the Lord. The Word says, “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” If we regularly engage in worldly activities and or sin and leave God out of the equation, we can become insensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We can be out of fellowship when important choices are placed in front of us causing us to choose incorrectly. Saints, as long as we live with brains that are subject to chemical imbalances, etc, we are going to have ups and downs that affect us spiritually. Therefore, since we live in the world where God has allowed Satan to be a major influence (2 Cor. 4:4 and John 12:31) we must keep our eyes, ears and mind open to the things of God.
