Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Word of God says in 2nd Cor. 5:17 “therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone the new is here.” Why was this told to you and I? Remember the Bible is written to teach us how to walk with the Lord…our Father. The Word in 2nd Tim 3:16 says, “all Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Therefore, saints, we are to conduct ourselves in a manner that is different from our culture. How? By following the Word of God in Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The Faith Walk is a walk of submitting to the Word of God..it is that every moment to choose to say, "who will I follow… will it be God ..or will it be Satan?" It is that simple. Some of us are still choosing to live/think like the world. Why? Because of our feelings. Your feelings are valid; but we are not called to act on our feelings. We are called to take “captive every thought to make it OBEDIENT to Christ…” and your feelings come from your thought life. The Word says, “Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.” The heart is the seat of the will, the intellect and feelings. We are most comfortable living as if God does not see what we are doing or that He does not know what we are thinking. We say in our heart(mind) as in Prov 5:12-14 ...when we are in open sin against the Lord… “How have I hated instruction and my heart despised reproof and not have obeyed the voice of my teachers nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me…. I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly” . It has been said if we cling to the attitude that we belong to ourselves rather than to the Lord, we are seeking an independence from our Creator rather than the dependence upon Him that He wants from us. The New You has been commanded to “let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that set before us…. looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” Heb.12:1-2 So, Christian what sin is keeping you from walking in the New You which has caused you to worry, fear, envy, be lazy, selfish, and arrogant? Examine your heart….cry out to God for purity.
