Greetings and blessings to all of you. All over the world you will see a lighting of the second of the five Advent candles. Last week the candle represented HOPE. Today the candle reminds us of FAITH. Hebrews 11:6 says, “but without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The Bible says, “now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” Therefore, we as practicing Christians believe that Jesus came into our dark world to give us light. Why is that important? Because He said, “I have come. a light into the world that whosoever believe on Me should not abide in darkness.” He also said, “I am the light of the world. He that follow Me shall not walk-in darkness.” (John 8:12) The Bible speaks of darkness which symbolizes ignorance and evil. Christ came to enlighten the mind to understand God and to light our paths so we can walk circumspectly and with wisdom. Unbelievers grope in their sins like zombies or the walking dead. But as believers we have the light which is Jesus the Messiah. John 3 says, “and this is the condemnation that light is come into the world but men love DARKNESS rather than LIGHT because their deeds are evil.” If you are in sin today expose it by coming into the light! To the immoral He is the way and light to Holiness. To the liars and the deceived…He is the light to the Truth. Pilate asked “What is Truth?” Are you like the culture asking the same question? There is a Truth and his name is Jesus. Man is only free when he finds Truth until then he continues to search and search and search. Ever heard of information overload? Welcome to the 21st century. Our Truth is manifested in our practical everyday lifestyle if you have FAITH. It could be faith as small as a mustard seed. Exercise it and it will grow. We walk by Faith not by sight. I do not know how much time we have left before He returns. But when He left the first time the LIGHT was gone. The people were left in evil and ignorance. But God, gave us an out. He said, “And you will not come to me that you may have life.” Please if you want eternal life…repent, turn to God, and begin walking out your faith in fear and trembling.
With the Love of Christ
