Greetings and blessings to all of you. I read a statement concerning the moral decline of our nation. It said, “if the moral fiber of this country continues to erode, and people continue to ignore the Bible, then the demise of this country is only a matter of time.” Do you believe that? Think for a minute. What is the basis for morality in our nation? It has become “you do you...and I do me” or “whatever is right for you...do it” or “if everybody seems okay with it….it must be okay” Saints, do you see the problem in these statements? God is totally left out! God is a promise keeper. Do you agree? He has strongly implied that He will allow the people of a nation or a person to experience the full brunt of the consequences of their sins. Please read Romans 1:18-28 where He speaks about turning them over to a reprobated mind. A reprobate is a person maybe even a “carnal professing Christian” that have some knowledge of God and perhaps know of His commandments. However, they live impure lives and have very little desire to please God. They live corrupt- selfish lives according to the world’s standards not Biblical values. Sin is justified and acceptable to them such as abortions, same sex marriages, open borders, transgender, euthanasia and cohabitation. God has rejected these people/ nations and has left them to their own devices. God has given us the ten Commandments not the ten suggestions. God has given us principles in the Word of God to follow ..not just sometimes or when it is convenient. Even though we live in a fallen world marked by death, mourning, crying and pain, God has called us and the nation to think biblically in our personal lives and especially in the Body of Christ. When? All of the time. When Jesus had left to be with His Father in heaven, He said to the disciples, “all this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 15:25 This verse tells me that I am responsible for my thinking and behavior because I am saved and being sanctified by adhering to God’s commands therefore I am a role model for the unbelievers and the culture. We are called the Salt and the Light. Saints we are to be faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
