Greetings and blessings to all of you. Did you notice that our culture is decaying? Why would I say this? Americans love participating in gambling, pornography, abortion, fornication, same-sex marriages, racism and most ungodly behaviors on and off the media. So, as we mourn for our country; let’s have a greater burden to pray for our churches and for each other individually because it appears that some are “falling away” from the truth of God’s Word. Even Jesus prayed for the believers. He said, “I do not pray that you take them out of the world but that you should keep them from the evil one. They are not of this world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by your Truth. Your Word is Truth.” I believe we are in the age of the APOSTATE church. In I John 2:19 the Word said, “They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.” Saints, apostates are those who profess faith but rebel and fall away. Like Demas in the 2 Tim.2:10. “Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and has departed…” They never possessed Christ and eternal life but simply professed faith. You can recognize an apostate by (a) ungodly living and (b) living by false doctrine. The spirit of this age is one where individuals can now craft their own truth-world that fits them AND THEIR PERCEPTION OF REALITY. In a sense people have crowned themselves “little gods”. We live in a time of “I have my truth and you have your truth”; when people pick and choose what to believe based on their desires and preferences. The decision for someone to quit the faith and begin a live under their “own terms” should break the heart Body of Christ. We are living in an age that Christianity and the Body of Christ are being marginalized, undermined and disrespected. Sound Doctrine is under siege. The Bible is being either reduced, outright rejected or replaced by how people feel about whatever moral restraint or God’s Word is being considered. Scripture tells us that APOSTASY will grow as the end draws near. Saints it is time to pray and fast more than ever. It is time to do a personal HEART CHECK…making sure you are indeed IN CHRIST.
