Greetings and blessings to all of you. Last week I mentioned the word abandonment. What does that word mean? In the MW dictionary it says,” to hand over, to put in someone’s control to give up completely.” Have you surrendered your life to Christ completely? If so then you must know that God has asked us to be diligent in his/her service to God. He has left us His Word to help us do this. How can we be of service to God if we do not read His Word then apply it? Studying the Bible is:
“light in a darkening world” Psalm 119:130
“understanding in a wondering world” Psalm 119:130
“knowledge in a confusing world” Prov. 2:6
“approval in a rejecting world” (2 Tim 2:15)
I implore you to start today to be a people of the Book. Start to live life like a “True believer”. Let the world see us as followers of Christ. The Church is made up of True believers (followers of Christ). Hypocrites are pretenders who sit among God’s people. God knows those who love Him and the Bible warns that He will sort out the true converts from the false on the Day of Judgement. All Hypocrites will end up in hell. (Matt. 24:51) Should you be concerned about this? The Bible says to examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” (2 Cor. 13:5) I assert that “false converts lack genuine contrition for sin. They make a profession of faith but are deficient in biblical repentance. “They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being detestable, disobedient and disqualified for every good work. (Titus 1:16) Do you not see/know of True believers that you can emulate? What about Ruth, Esther, Deborah, Mary, Lydia and Sarah? A True believer has a knowledge of sin and has godly sorrow, truly repents, and produces the “the things that accompany salvation”. (Heb. 6:9) This is evident by the fruit of the Spirit, the fruit of righteousness, etc.; however only God TRULY knows the genuine from the false. Do not deny Him by your behavior. If you are not transforming you need to eat/swallow the Word.
