Greetings and blessings to all of you. We take it for granted that we have religious freedom in the US. Did you know that in many countries such as North Korea, Somalia (that Christian community is tiny and under constant threat), Afghanistan, Libya (where churches are attacked and gatherings are targeted) and Nigeria where the southern part experience more religious freedom and the north is under Sharia Law- are against Christ? It is imperative that as Christians we should continue to push for religious freedom. If we don’t it will be taken from us. That is why it is so very important to vote this election period seeing it as a “sacred trust”. As a fact there are an estimate that over 10 million eligible Christians are not registered to vote. We as followers of Christ if we shirk this duty we do so to our great harm for our children and our nation. One of our great statesmen and Father of the American Revolution Samuel Adams said, “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” We are patriotic Americans and faithful Christians who want to make a real tangible difference in government and the culture…and are committed to voting our values on critical issues that affect our faith and family in America; defending life, religious freedom, to protecting our children and grandchildren from radical gender ideology. In Matthew 10:34 Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I did not come to bring peace- but a sword.” In Luke 12:53 Jesus said, “The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother.” With so much division and political strife, it is easy to want to withdraw as we feel powerless to change things. Discouragement and disheartened and sometimes fearfulness will set in when you hear and listen to all the over charged election rhetoric day and night. But as God told Joshua in 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” As Christians we have the responsibility to live out our faith by praying for the candidates and to be informed ourselves on the issues at hand then vote God’s principles and values taught in the Word and Give God the Glory.
With the Love of Christ
