Greetings and blessings to all of you. In America, the culture is becoming less Christianized every day. If you were raised in a family or society to believe that the Bible is not to be followed and Holiness is for “those sanctimonious saints” and if you believed the lie that the Bible was written by mere men without God; so that the Bible is not the foundation for our thinking but higher education is (especially science); which are from the universities that are staffed primarily by practicing atheist or agnostics; and as you were developing you continued to associate with anti-God people and your world was increasingly secular…or worldly…. as you gained a worldview; and that included the indoctrination by secular media… brainwashed into thinking it is man who determines truth- then ultimately in your mind most anything goes if not everything. It is commonly called inclusivity. People “are being tossed to and fro by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” Eph. 4:14 (paraphrased) In the days of old there was only God but the people did not want God any longer. They wanted also a man; someone in the flesh. In I Sam. 8:6-7 “Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel, listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you for they have rejected Me from being king over them; in that they have forsaken me and served other gods so they are doing to you also.” God speaks to us in the Word of God called the Bible. Psalm 19:7-9 says, “that the Word of God is perfect, sure, right, pure, clean, true, and righteous.” God speaks to us through others, God intends for the Body of Christ to be able to minister to itself through its members helping and advising one another. But remember, when we seek counsel from other people such counsel must be evaluated against Scripture. Be open to God speaking through others in your life. We as believers must learn relational skills. We focus on the vertical first (relationship with God/the Word) then we focus on the horizontal that is the “one anothers”. In time when we consistently meet together as the Bible has told us in Hebrew 10:25 “not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” these two should mesh and then the Body of Christ will have LOVE.
