Greetings and blessings to all of you. Genesis 1:26-28 says, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, So God created man in his own image in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it… “God gave man a mission. God wanted men to know that a feeling of purpose in life comes from the work one does and that this is the right and natural way of men. Adam the first man was a farmer. He is a man’s example to bring forth creation’s possibilities; to help perfect the world and build it into what it could be. That work begins in every man’s soul. He first has to establish his relationship with God. It has been said that women fantasize about having a stable marriage and a family where as men fantasize about greatness and conquering; craving significance, influence and impact.” But knowing God has been difficult for men because Satan has distorted the word “meekness” to mean weakness. Meekness simply means submitting your power to a higher control; it means submitting yourself to God’s kingdom rule. Most men have a very difficult time doing that. Our culture has been telling the men it is okay to be your own man. Live by your rules...even if it means leaving your family for green pastures; even if it means underperforming at school; even if it means still living with your parents or family members rather than maintaining your own family. Most men are living for leisure, relaxing, screen time, games and pornography. Some are battling drug abuse, depression; some are thinking of changing their sex..from male to female or whatever, sort of a self- hate and from this they are considering suicide. What is going on? Besides the world the flesh and the devil- what is the male responsibility to counterattack this madness? To learn to suffer. Leadership is developed through suffering. Our men of today refuse to suffer. They seem to want to escape rather than go through the fire of adversity as our role model Jesus did. Young people need male role models. We have devalued real Biblical manhood. God gave a manual for fathers/men in the book called Proverbs. For example, in Prov.3:1 “My son do not forget my teaching.”
