Greetings and blessings to all of you. Do you sometimes hear people saying things like “I was just speaking with God and He told me ….or “I heard from God today and He said….” You then wonder does anyone really hear from God? Does anyone really talk with God and receive an answer? Yes and Yes, Those saints have a personal relationship with Yeshua they do not practice religion. There is a huge difference. The Bible does not refer to a personal relationship with God. But all throughout the Bible it emphasizes who you know and that who is God. Yeshua or Jesus and Yahweh are One (John 14:8-11) The Bible also shows us the importance of learning to know, love, and trust a very personal God. Jeremiah said, “let not the wise man glory in his wisdom let not the mighty man glory in his might nor let the rich man glory in his riches but let him who glories (glory in this) that he understands and knows Me.” (Jer. 9:23-24) God wants his child to know Him not [of Him or about Him.] He wants us to love Him. If you have a personal relationship with a friend what are some of the characteristics? Does that relationship have a mutual respect, interest, openness and a mutual recognition of one another? Is it a deep relationship or is it just superficial? A relationship with God has to be more than superficial; it has to be welcoming 24/7. I heard someone say, “it is really hard for me to pray or speak or build a relationship to someone I cannot see or hear. In (Eph. 1:17-18) Paul prayed for the church. “I pray for you constantly asking God to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. I pray that your heart will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future he has called you to share.” I ask… would you not want a relationship with someone who is always with you no matter where you are or what you are going through; especially one who is all knowing, all powerful, kind and gentle…and He is never to busy to listen to you? Would you not want someone in your life that is dependable and never changing? Would you not someone in your life who understand everything about you? To tap into God’s heart for a close relationship we must be intentional, focused and study the Scriptures where you will find Him. And let us not forget to pray ,worship and sacrifice our independence and trust Him for all things.

With the Love of Christ
