Greetings and blessings to all of you. We as Holy Spirit filled followers of Christ believe the Bible is fully inspired by God and is without error in the original manuscripts. We also believe that the Bible is God’s final, complete and authoritative revelation to man. It is our guide for living life, the standard by which we measure our behavior. We believe when the Bible speaks God speaks. In our society(culture) you can believe whatever you like no matter how absurd and contradictory. Every point of view since it arrives from one’s own feelings is just as valid as another and therefore according to moral relativism (as it is referred to) two people can believe contradictory ethical views and both can be correct…never mind what God has said. That is why in today’s dialogue you will hear dressed up evil in psychobabble and victimology. God is the Alpha and The Omega..not Man; even though we are living in a time when humanistic thinking is coming to its natural conclusions in morals, education and the law. Francis Schaeffer was a theologian, a Pastor and a philosopher said, “only a strong view of Scripture can withstand the powerful pressure of relativistic thinking.” This is a new year and for us as maturing Christians it is mandatory that we go back to the times when the Bible was at least respected if not believed and practiced. Go back to the times when the concept of “absolute truth” was embraced and followed instead of embracing “personal experiences”; and that spirituality is a “private matter.” We are at a time that we as professing Christians have to ask the important question to ourselves. Is the Word of God truth or “did God really say?” Jesus said, “you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:20) To the degree that we do not know the truth, we are vulnerable to ignorance and deception. Why do you think God left His Word for us? So, we might have a final authority on all matters, a source of truth more reliable than every competing voice, even our own hearts. You heard the world say “listen to your heart”. The Bible says, “a wise man’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him toward the left.” (Eccl. 10:2) Remember “All scriptures is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching for reproof, for correction and from training in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:16). Saints, we are to Honor God and His Word.
