Greetings and blessings to all of you. IT IS CHRISTMAS DAY. The day that most followers of Christ celebrate the coming of the Lord as a babe in the manger. Christmas is a busy time of the year…shopping, baking, cooking, preparing for family and friends and much more. The first time God came the people were busy also. The people were mostly farmers, textile workers, homemakers, farmers. and shepherds and let’s don’t forget the politicians and tax collectors. When Jesus (God) arrived, the angels announced it to the shepherds. They stopped what they were doing and ran to see the Lord Jesus. His entrance into the world received little attention no royal reception, the innkeeper did not even have any room for Him. Did anyone wonder who this baby was and why did the shepherds leave their livelihood to see this baby? No, they did not care…Just like in Jonah’s day. He warned them of the coming flood but they kept doing what they were doing making no time to listen and consider what Noah was saying. Do we have that same attitude? The attitude like a scoffer. In John 1:11 “The true light which enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world and the world was made through him yet the world did not know him. He came into his own and his own people did not receive him.” Are we like that? Better not be because when Jesus returns again, He will not be coming as a baby. He will come in thunder, majesty and great glory. Rev. 1:7 says, “Look he is coming with the clouds and every eye will see him even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So it shall be! Amen.” It will not be a quiet entry and seen by a few. No, His arrival will be with trumpets and lightening flashing. In Noah’s time and in the Incarnation God in his grace and mercy allowed people to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior but this time the lost will have lost their chance to come to Him. Now is the time for all to come to salvation. (2 Cor. 6:2) Jesus began his public ministry preaching “Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:17) Back in the day …. some were ready some were not. R U ready? In Noah’s day only 8 were saved. God has not returned yet giving us the chance once again to surrender all of everything to Him. “ then I saw heaven open and behold a white horse. The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True….(Rev.19:11-12) .. and all the saints say “Come Lord Jesus Come”.
