Greetings and blessings to all of you. Paul told the believers at Corinth “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning… your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.” Earlier Paul told them to note that “we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. We are told “for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Nothing has changed. The fight is still going on. It is the battle for our minds. Evil spirits are working against God. The information comes through the media and human instructors. It is up to us to recognize this propaganda or doctrines of demons. In 1 Tim. 4:1 it reads, “the Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” There is "a spirit" of progressive Christianity. It is the mindset that we know better than God, that the plain sense of the words of the Bible cannot be trusted, that the old, proven paths are not proven at all, that the very God of the Bible must be recreated if He is to live up to our enlightened standards. The progressive movement would like to see the saints (practicing Christians) to follow them without the God of the Bible and choose a god of your/their choosing or a god that will go along with the values of the culture or your personal values good or bad. The "spirit of this age" will come against us. The snake was in the garden. The snake (demons/evil) is in our thought life. When the evil one says things like “You are old fashion or outdated…. or you are inflexible and judgmental…or you are always talking about Jesus or you are boring. Let’s go have fun.” The evil one wants you to forget about Holiness, abandon Biblical doctrines, forget about self-control and accept the new progressive morality. Saints, we have the Holy Spirit in us and His power to pull down these deceptive strongholds and demolish these destructive ideologies. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1Cor. 2:16) Saints recognize the “doctrines of demons”.
