Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Word says, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13) Seeking the Lord is like seeking for gold. A miner digs deep and the desire to go deeper happens when he finds that first nugget. A person who motivated by the love of Christ will begin to seek the Lord in good times and bad times finding “those nuggets” that will give him a greater understanding of His ways. Don’t you want to know who you are following? Don’t you desire to know the One who has the answers to all your questions about everything? Salvation (or being Born-Again) is just the beginning of our relationship with the Lord. What if a bank called you and told you that for some time there has been a million dollars in an account with your name on it? You had no idea you were living like a pauper when you could have been living like a millionaire. That is what happens when we do not make God our top priority instead of a casual acquaintance. We will live on a superficial level rather than like a King. What God has for you is more than a million dollars. Our responsibility is to search and find it by pursuing God wholeheartedly. Prov. 8:17 says, “those who diligently seek me will find me.” Because there are a thousand things that distract us we have to consciously and deliberately say Yes to reading/studying His Word and No to other things. Other things we value …we put aside if it concerns our health or making money or entertainment. We make a decision to place that as #1. Are we willing to take that same attitude and effort to pray, read and fellowship with mature believers knowing that we are (seeking those gold nuggets) deepening our relationship with Christ? Seeking the Lord has to begin with Faith. We have to know that the Lord has our best interest in mind. We have to know that His death on the cross was not in vain. We have to know that Christ is not our Santa Claus but He is our Savior. When we seek Him we have to have the “mind of Christ” not the mind of the world….or we will misinterpret what He tells us in the Scriptures or when the Pastor ministers to you. As you draw deeper into His Presence, you will gain strength, stability and most important Peace; that when everything is shaking you will remain steadfast in the Lord.

With the Love of Christ
