Greetings and blessings to all of you. Reading John 8:12 it says, “Yeshua spoke to them saying, I am the light of the world. The one who follows Me will no longer walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Christ is known as “Light of the World”. The name is associated with knowledge, truth, righteousness, hope and life. When Jesus said this to the Pharisees; they challenged Him by saying Jesus was lying. Jesus rebuked them in John 8:44 saying, “you want to do the desires of your father. He (Satan) was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks lies, he is just being himself for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Today there is a widening spread of what has been dubbed as Cancel Culture. It is the suppression and intolerance of people whose viewpoints differ from what our godless society has deemed fitting and appropriate. It is a leftwing ideology aiming its vicious darts at us Christians who hold a Biblical worldview founded on the authority of God’s uncompromising Word. In other words what we say from the Word of God comes to the unbelievers as distortions or lies or confusion. The light is blinding to the unbelievers; they want to put our light out. The Pharisees accuse Jesus healing of a demon-plagued man as “powers from Satan” Matt. 12:24. In (2 Tim. 4:3,4) says, “for a time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” It’s been said that if a lie is repeated often enough and if it is pushed by so called experts many people will come to believe it is true. This is exactly what we are seeing in our “Cancel Culture” society. Today we have new theology derived from our human passions; it is the theology that agrees with the human heart and its ungodly desires. It is the theology that encourages us to think that God does not challenge our lifestyles; He/She/It approves of everything we do. Saints, we must be reminded that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, there is no new revelation. Worship God only; self-worship is of (Satan).
