Greetings and blessings to all of you. As you are aware of there is a growing hostility in our culture toward truth which comes from the Lord our Savior. We have seen our leaders dominate and tyrannize our society. During this season, we can only focus on God and his promises and not our obstacles and remain faithful. 2 Cor. 13:8 says, “for we cannot do anything against the truth but only for the truth”. Recall the story of Joshua and Caleb in the Book of Numbers Chapter 13 and 14. The Lord said to Moses “send some men to explore the land of Canaan which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.” From that exploration the report came back. Out of the twelve these two men said, “we should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” In Chap. 14 “If the Lord is pleased with us then He will bring us into this land and give it to us a land filled with milk and honey.” “Only do not rebel against the Lord and do not fear the people of the land for they shall be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.” The others reported ALL the negativity that they saw which led them to be discouraged, frustrated, nervous, fearful and distrusting. The question is how can these twelve men see the same set of facts regarding the land and came away with vastly different impressions? Because the other Israelites were led astray by the negative report; they forgot God’s promise to give them the land of Canaan. All they had to do was trust God and his promises. Sadly, a lot of us in this season will miss out on the “peace that surpasses understanding” that God promises us in Phil. 4:7. True Christians need to confirm they are in the faith (2 Cor. 13:5). Then we need to know that courage and bravery is a virtue and that our God is big enough to handle our confusion, struggle, our anger and pain. Spiritual fear often stems from an unwillingness to leave our comfort zone. Questions: Is it easier to believe a “dress up lie” than the truth? Is it easier to believe the “experts” than the God who gave “the experts” whatever? If your “comfort Zone” is not believing the promises of God but instead trusting in “the politicized culture” it is time you begin focusing on the ONE who gave you Life. Begin with a commitment to trust Him implicitly without worrying about the consequences. He got you!!!
