Greetings and blessings to all of you. The Scriptures says, “But now Christ has been raised from the dead the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. (I Cor. 15:20) In this chapter Paul the apostle had to deal with a heretical saying ‘there is no resurrection of the dead.’ This heresy is the most damaging and destructive to God’s kingdom. The Resurrection is the life pulse and lifeline of the Body of Christ. If there were no resurrection, God would be the God of the dead not of the living. If there were no resurrection Christ would not have been raised from the dead.  He would be a dead Savior not a living Savior who lives forever and is able to save us.  If there was no resurrection God’s plan of redemption would collapse and His eternal purpose would be null and void. If Christ had not been resurrected to live in us as our life and everything… our faith in Him… would be fruitless, worthless and without any issue such as the impartation of life, freedom from sin, victory over Satan, and growth in life. The resurrection offers believers a hope that includes eternal blessings, the reign of Christ in the millennium, and blessings. “Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Luke 14:14) Saints, you and I will pass someday. We have to begin appreciating in our attitude and behavior what and why Jesus took our place on the cross. A theologian once said “all men have to die, and our death is by divine appointment. It is one appointment everyone will keep. After death comes judgement., which is also appointed by God. And since men are not able to atone for their own sins, God’s judgement demands that they pay or have a substitute pay for them. Like all men Jesus Christ was divinely appointed to die once. But unlike all other men He will never face judgement. Because He took our sins upon Himself, He took our judgement upon Himself. But the judgement was for our sins, not for His, for He had none. God “made Him who knew no sin to be sin to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Cor. 5:21) Because of the Resurrection…the believers in Christ will be resurrected unto life at the Lord’s coming back before the millennium. Remember, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25).
