Greetings and blessings to all of you. In Luke 24:5-8 it says, “In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?” He is not here; He Has Risen! Remember how he told you while he was still with you in Galilee.  The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” Then they remembered his words.”Today we are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection is the foundational belief of our Christian worldview.  It is the most dramatic eye-opening, mind stretching event in all human history. It is an event that defy our experiences and our scientific knowledge that tells us that a corpse do not revive. The dead stay dead. But God. Recall that “the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life” (Matt. 27:50-52). That happened right after Jesus died on the cross. Although the great stone that sealed His tomb had been rolled away Jesus had left the tomb BEFORE that event took place. The removal of the stone soon after His resurrection was to show the disciples that the tomb was empty and therefore convince them of His resurrection. An angel accomplished this removal of the stone, but at the moment it was performed, CHRIST WAS NO LONGER THERE. Saints when you read I Cor. Chap. 15 and hear what Paul said, “But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?  Paul is so distraught at that thought that he goes on to say, “and if Christ has not been raised YOUR FAITH IS FUTILE and YOU ARE STILL IN YOUR SINS. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ (died) are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” As Christians we believe in an afterlife after death. Paul spoke to the Corinthians persisting that counting on a future life with Christ will give us a HOPE that others do not have plus DEATH has been swallowed up in victory by Christ. “Where O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting?” Paul declares, “ that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” (I Cor. Chap. 15) Today is Resurrection Sunday…He Has Risen..He has Conquered Death..We who are in Christ will reside with Him forever.! Hallelujah!

With the Love of Christ
